The Rosalie still here. She was paid for demurrage up to the noon of this day at the rate of £5 a day for every day she had remained here, beyond the three days agreed to: that is to say, for 4½ days as I understand. She received one hundred guineas for our passage and our stores after the rate of £2 per ton. One of the apprentices of the Rosalie ran away into the country today. It seems that he understood that we wanted someone to stay with us and being tired of the sea he thought we should keep him after the Rosalie had sailed. However Captain Boyse detained the vessel and stayed ashore till he came to our houses at night when he was taken and conveyed on board.
