February 12-13, 1889

Feby. 12th: Started from the Tres Arroyos and followed the level camp until we came to the point of the ridge. Then we entered a deep valley. Followed the valley until it branched in two, then made straight for a sharp point on the ridge, and found a large laguna underneath and camped there: distance 9 leagues.

13th: Left the laguna for the Deseado. Made a short-cut and reached the river in a short t[ime], making straight for a sharp point of hills on the other side of the river: distance 6 leagues.
