c1930 Estancia José Menéndez, Tierra del Fuego, Panoramas

In 1896, the Spanish-born entrepreneur José Menéndez founded the 160,000 ha Estancia Primera Argentina on the south bank of the Río Grande, in Argentine Tierra del Fuego. The estancia's present name was adopted after the founderīs death in 1918. These photographs were taken during Robert Thompson's tenure as manager. Some of them were published previously on the PatFotos website. [More images in People & Buildings Album]
